Lorenzo Belardi born in 1978, I live and work in Florence, Italy. I did not follow the modern classical path of attending a violin making school, but I preferred the path of the ancient violin makers, that is, frequenting the violin makers’ workshops. Initially I started as a self-taught person, then I fell in love with the Trentino luthier Luca Primon, who came from 25 years of teaching at the famous Scuola Civica in Milan. With maestro Primon I began to see how to build an instrument in a professional manner. At the same time I also attended a violin making course conceived by him, again in his hometown. When Maestro Luca PRIMON left us, I undertook the training path with Maestro Davide Sora from Cremona, which still continues today.
